USARM BOARD MEETING NOTES
05-17-2005

Directors Present : Ken Berri, Dave Jansen, Kati James, Steve Ynzunza, Jerry Huff and Steve Johnson
Dicrectors Not Present : Jim Short
Members Present : None

The minutes from the 04-19-05 Board Meeting were approved with a few minor changes.

1 Welcome Steve Johnson to the Board
Steve Johnson was welcomed by all of the Board Members to the Board.
2 FINANCIAL
A) Treasurers Report

Dave Jansen gave a financial report and stated that he will be tracking the MotoGP revenues and expenses separately in order to see how the group comes out at the end of this big event . A question came up regarding the equipment rental from Shelby club. Jerry Huff reported that his expense report was not complete yet.
B) Non-Profit

Steve Ynzunza reported that he is gathering the information that the accountant need to process the paperwork. He was also asked to check with the accountant regarding the money issued the workers at the event.
C) By-laws

There was an amendment to the By-laws presented for review and to have discussion at the June meeting. Steve Ynzunza reported that any changes to the By-laws would have to be given to the accountant because a copy is sent in with the Non-profit application.
3 Equipment
A) Flags

Dave Jansen reported that 20 sets of new flags have been ordered along with 35 White flags with a red "X" on them. Thanks to Jerry Huff for finding the vendor that could meet the timeline as well as color requirements. Flags will be getting delivered to Ken Berri's house beginning the week of June 1st thru the 7th.
B) Trailer

Dave Jansen had found a 16 foot trailer while doing his research. Ken Berri reported that Home Depot had trailers and we should check there also.
C) Extinguishers

Steve Ynzunza reported that we would need to purchase approximately 31 extinguishers in order to have 2 per response station. Steve Ynzunza is checking into the pricing from different vendors.
4 New Projects
A)
The Board still has $3,000 committed to Gary Thomas for covers on the turn boxes. Kati James reported that the track does have a sponsor for some of them but not all of them.
5 MotoGP Update
A)
Steve Ynzunza reported that the committee has been working very hard and they had found a vendor to supply worker lunches as well as a vendor to a dinner for all USARM workers Saturday night of the event. The committee is also still working on getting worker shirts. The Board approved a special jacket for one person. The Board also approved the purchase of dinners for the USARM workers that are working the Russell event the same weekend as the MotoGP.
6 Roundtable
We are looking for a date to present the check to Camp Okazu.
Meeting was adjourned at 8:10pm Next Meeting will be Tuesday June 21st at 7:00pm. It will be held at the Roundtable in Fremont.
